Physics

Overview

I am currently a 4th year graduate student working with Prof. Rachel Bean. I am interested in General Relativity and other competing theories of modified gravity, specifically their low energy effects. My current research is focused on large scale observational signatures of modified gravity, with a focus on cosmic voids.

Prior to Cornell I attended Hobart College in Geneva, NY where I graduated summa cum laude and received a B.S. in both physics and mathematics. My undergraduate research was supervised by Theodore Allen and Donald Spector and was in mathematical physics, focusing on the quantization of pseudoclassical systems through the use of anti-commuting Grassmann variables.

Outside of my research, I’m an avid sailor, having spent 4 years on the varsity sailing team during my time at Hobart. I also enjoy attending Cornell hockey games.
