"The Austrian Space Forum (OeWF) has awarded Dr. Lisa Kaltenegger the Polar Star Award – the Austrian Space Prize. Gernot Grömer, Director of the Austrian Space Forum awards presented Dr Kaltenegger with the award at a ceremony on Monday 23 September.
The Polar Star Award honors personalities from the space sector for their outstanding commitment and special achievements. Since 2009, the OeWF has awarded the prize to people like Mazlan Othman, the former director of the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA), or COSPAR President and Director of the German Aerospace Agency DLR, Pascale Ehrenfreund, as well as other distinguished awardees."
