Education

Manages the business operations of Cornell’s Center for Astrophysics and Planetary Science and the Department of Astronomy.   Responsible for financial planning, human resources, research administration and reporting and the interpretation and implementation of human resource, financial and other administrative policies.  Facilitates and manages pre- and post- grant/contract applications and awards involving faculty from multiple units and other universities.   Also oversees ITAR and EAR regulations issues as contracts for projects involving the use of ITAR and EAR controlled technical data/services require the drafting/review of Technical Assistance Agreements and or Licenses  (for submission to the Department of State/Commerce) in consultation with University Counsel, Outside Counsel and the Counsels' offices of partner institutions. Supervises the facility function and activities for the Space Science Building.
