- Graduated from Moscow State University with specialization in Astronomy 1978 - B.S. in Astrophysics
(Moscow State University) GRADUATE AND PHD STUDENTS (1997-2009): Min Long (Cornell University, Ithaca, NY) - Numerical Modeling of Accretion to Magnetized Stars . Defended Thesis in 2008. Akshay Kulkarni (Cornell University) . Akshay performs global 3D simulations of stable/unstable regimes of accretion. In the past he investigated observational appearance of the hot spots obtained in 3D simulations taking into account effects of relativity, Doppler and other effects. Olga Toropina (Space Research Institute, Moscow, Russia) - Propagation of Magnetized Neutron Stars through the ISM. Defended Thesis in 2003. Yuryi Toropin (Keldysh Institute of Applied Mathematics, Moscow, Russia) - Accretion to Magnetized Stars. Defended Thesis in 1999. Galina Ustyugova (Keldysh Institute of Applied Mathematics) - Numerical Methods and Modelling of MHD Outflows. Defended Thesis in 1997.
