I am post-doctoral researcher in the fundimental physics group at the Max - Planck - Institut für Radioastronomie in Bonn, Germany. I received my PhD from the Department of Astronomy and Space Sciences at Cornell University. My research focuses on digital instrumentation, transients, pulsars and SETI.

I grew up in Des Moines, IA and received my B.S. degree with honors in physics and astronomy at the University of Iowa. Afterward I spent 10 months working in a digital electronics lab at the Max-Planck-Institut für Radioastronomie in Bonn, Germany as a DAAD Fellow.
